Oh what a concert!

Sunday 30th April at 3pm saw the Maldon Orchestra trying out a new venue in Tiptree Community Centre to play a concert on behalf of Pancreatic Cancer UK.

Forty-three amateur performers entertained an audience in excess of 140 people with a variety of tunes all under the title of Spring time to Swing time and the watchful baton of our Music Director, Ron Bewers. This was a new venue for us as we are out-growing our usual haunts.

The concert raised a staggering £1800 for Pancreatic Cancer UK which is amazing. Some of our members have friends and family who have been affected by pancreatic cancer so this charity was very special to them. Extra thanks go to Colin Bellett for lending his vocal talents and to everyone who contributed towards making this concert a huge success.
