A very festive classic concert

Thirty-eight members of the Maldon Orchestra took to the stage on Sunday 8th December 2024 in St Luke's Church, Tiptree to celebrate Christmas at their last concert for 2024.

The programme included three vocal pieces by their resident singer, Colin Bellett and four traditional carols for a bit of audience participation. St Luke's was looking particularly festive being adorned with several christmas trees. An audience of near to capacity were entertained and enthralled by a feast of music including Christmas overtures, medleys and arrangements of carols with classical music accompaniments.

The concert was held for the benefit of St Luke's Church in Tiptree and the money raised will help them continue the excellent work that they do for the local community.

This brings to an end the Maldon Orchestra's 75th Diamond year of celebrations and thanks go to all who have helped to make this year so very special.
