Leading by example

As we return to some kind of normality, thoughts turn to how lucky we are to have such a great bunch of people in our broad membership. We have weathered the Covid-storm and are looking to the future as our concert diary slowly refills to the brim.

We have a lot to be grateful for including having a core of members who have stood by the Orchestra through the lean days when the membership levels were as low as our bank balance. We are fortunate now to be a thriving community orchestra who never need to fundraise for ourselves and can devote all our time and energy to fundraising for others.

We decided to recognise seven members who have given at least 10 years of dedicated service, with some giving upwards of 45 years. We have decided to award these members Honorary Membership status.

Each have been presented a certificate and engraved piece of glass by way as a small token of our thanks.
