A Tune For All Seasons

Our next concert entitled A Tune For All Seasons was well received by a capacity audience at St Leonard’s Church in Southminster on the evening of Saturday 4th May. The audience were entertained by the variety of music performed which included Appalachian Spring, the Nocturne from a Midsummer Night’s Dream and Forever Autumn, the visual delights of a video of seasonal wonders displayed on the Church’s LED screens and enlightened by the Orchestra’s Music Director, Ron Bewers as he guided everyone through the evening’s programme. The concert was held for the benefit of the Knightswood Day Care Centre in Asheldham and raised just over £1000 for the charity. The Maldon Orchestra comprised of 45 players on the night which is a new record number of performers.
